A

penetrating injuries can cut the tendons

17
Q

what is the standard treatment for burns

A

respiratory, infection, dehydration, pain relief

for hands- excise damaged skin and perform skin grafts early, aggressive mobilisation to prevent finger stiffness, eshcarotomy (removal of stiff leathery skin)

18
Q

what is eschar

A

thick, leathery, inelastic skin which can form after burns- can inhibit movement if across joints or breathing if across torso
