Q

What are the 6 encapsulated nerve endings and was do they feel?

A
  1. Tactile corpuscles: light touch, low vibration
  2. Ruffini corpuscles: repetitive touch or pressure
  3. Pacini corpuscles: deep pressure and high frequency
  4. Krause corpuscles: touch
  5. Golgi tendon organs: receptors in muscle ex. the pain of a pulled muscle
  6. Muscle spindles: muscle length

Q

What is the function of the choroid?

Q

What kind of fluid is in the eye and what is the purpose?

A

Fluid in the eye helps maintain shape and helps reflect light
Has aqueous humor which is watery fluid in front of the lens
Has vitreous humor that is a jelly like fluid that sits behind the lens
