Q

What are the 3 layers of pleura and what is their function?

A
  1. Parietal pleura: lines the chest cavity
  2. Visceral pleura: covers the lungs
  3. Intrapleural space: separates these 2 membranes and reduces friction between the lungs and chest cavity during breathing
