What is the purpose of the Providence Safe Sation?
Direct actions when a person presents to the station seeking entry into Substance abuse disorder (SUD)
What shall be done when a person presents to any Providence fire station?
Notify company officer immediately.
- notify BOC to be held OOS w/ walk in
How will a Providence Safe Station (PSS) be designated in the CAD?
SSP
What question should be asked to person looking for entry into Safe Station?
- do they have drugs or paraphernalia in possession
if yes dispose in proper place installed in the station - any weapons put them down
if yes contact Providence Police

When shall a patient seeking to enter Providence Safe Station be transported to the emergency room before PSS?
- abnormal vital signs
- signs of trauma
- medical complaint (i.e. acute chest pain)

When the recovery team from Safe station arrives what shall be given to them?
Bottom two (2) Sheets of intake form
- top sheet will be kept and Collected bi-weekly
For safe station, what should be done if a stillbox or ALS run comes in?
Stillbox rescue can stay
ALS ladder company can stay
What are the criteria for transport to emergency department for Providence Safe Station?
- heart rate < 50 or >130bpm
- Systolic BP <90 or >160
- RR <10 or >28
- SPO2 <92 at room air or w/prescribed Oxygen
- Temp >102
- AMS or GCS <14
- BGL <60 or >300
- signs of trauma
