What is Air Supply?
A mobile support unit
assigned to North Main St.
Under supervision of Capt. of E7 and Person-In-Charge (PIC) of air supply station
What equipment will be assigned to Air Supply 1?
- 5 SCBA Harness
- 80 45-min SCBA Cylinders
- 8 1-hr SCBA Cylinders
- RIT-PAK III
- Pak Tracker
- Positive Pressure ventilation fan
- 2 portable lighting systems
- 2 shade canopies
- 2 misting fans w/ 10 gallons of water
- 200’ rope + bag
- stokes litter
- Anchor system w/ 2:1
What shall the officer in command ensure whenever a unit responds w/ Air Supply 1?
a. completed entry in the Air Supply 1 Log
b. Positioned to afford use of the equipment assigned
c. no member shall utilize the air supply 1 filling w/o consent from PIC
d. All unfilled SCBA cylinders are exchanged at the Air Supply station
What should be considered whenever utilizing Air Supply 1?
a. Staging in location whereby telescoping light mast may be utilized and/or near rehab sector
b. location nearest the incident scene reserved for emergency response units
Whenever a company or unit responds w/Air Supply 1, what shall the officer ensure?
Complete entry in Log
Air Supply 1 is positioned to afford use of the equipment assigned.
Do not use Air Supply 1 filling station w/o approval Person-In-Charge of Air Supply
Ensure all unfilled SCBA cylinders are exchanged at the Air supply Station w/ full cylinders
What should be considered whenever utilizing Air Supply 1?
Staging whereby the telescope light mast may be utilized and/or in proximity to the rehab sector
Location nearest incident scene should be reserved for emergency response units
Who shall utilize the air supply filing stations?
Members trained + assigned E7 or Person-In-Charge of Air Supply
What should be done whenever any SCBA or cylinder requires service?
Equipment shall be properly tagged (name, company, service needs and date)
brought to Air Supply Station and exchanged
What should be done when any SCBA or cylinder requires service at the scene of an incident?
Properly tag
exchanged at Air Supply 1
notify officer of Air Supply 1
