What is continous training
Working the entire body for long periods of time ( over 20 mins)
What is fartlek training
A method of training for runners where the terrain and speed are constantly changing
What is circuit training
A series of excersizes completed for a certain amount of time/reps, after one another
What 3 factors do we consider when choosing a method of training
- the requirments of the particular sport
- facilities available in the local area
- the individuals current levels of fitness
What is interval training
Physical training involving alternating stages of high and low-intensity activity
What is plyometric training
Excersizes where muscles use maximum force in short intervals of time
What is weight training
Involves lifting weight to increase the strengh of the muscle using a programme of exercises
