What are the effects on smoking

A

It’s highly addictive as a teen as ‘nicotine’ makes the consumer more addicted to the product, causeing them to none stop smoking.
This would then lead to having cancer, chemicals that will affect the lungs and other parts of the body.

What is the affect of alcohol

A

Alcohol is used as an ‘depressent’, slowing down the reaction, the way you: see, move and respond to things. Smaller amounts of alcohol make you feel relaxed and less anxious. Large amounts will change the brain causing you to be drunk.
Its banned in most sports due to your reaction and judgement being slowed down.

What are the affects of ‘recreational drugs’

A

Its separated into two catagorys, ‘legal’ & ‘illegal’.
Legal drugs contain: caffine (found in tea, coffe and energy drinks), nicotine and ethonal (also known as alcahol). Though they have a negative effect to our bodies, its still accepted to some extent in society.
Illegal drugs such as: heroin, cocaine, LSD, amphetamines, ecstasy and cannabis are not accepted in society. They cna leave a harmful effect and is consided dangerous.

What are the effects of ‘work/rest/sleep balance’

A

By exercising, it will help you to sleep better which helps your body to recover. It’ll help get to sleep once you have gone to sleep, but also helps you to ahve a deeper, more productive nights sleep.
However, exercising too late will resault in having athe opposite effect and means you’ll have to energies to sleep because of release of ‘serotonin’ & ‘endorphins’.
Rest is also an important aspect of training as it allows your body time to recover and adapt.
