What is the 12-minute Cooper run/swim
The 12-minute Cooper run/swim is a task, where you run a squared distance (50m each side), and you must times yourself to see how fast you can go. Also focuses on cardiovascular fitness.
What is the Harvard step test
The Harvard step test is you stepping on a any sort of platform (like a bench) and you do this every 2sec for 5min (150 total). Can speed up or slow down. After check your pulse (6sec x 10).
Also focuses on cardiovascular fitness
What is the sit and reach test
The sit and sit is an exercise, where you sit with your legs straight and try to touch you feet without bending your legs, practised for flexibility (used by gymnasts)
What is the hand - grip test
The hand-grip test is where you squeeze the grips together to measure your strength, training good for sports like boxing
What is the One-minute press-up test
This was a task where you’d be on the floor push yourself up (bending your elbows are at 90 degrees) and complete as many press-ups as you can in a minute. Focuses on muscular endurance
What is the 30-metre sprint test
You’d have to mark out 30 m, after that you’d start at the starting line and sprint till the end, then your partner should record the time in seconds. Focuses on speed
What is the vertical jump/Sargent jump test
This task is focused on how high you can jump, it requires you to jump as high as you can and touch the wall to indicate how high you can jump. Focuses on power
What is the Illinois agility test
Its a task where you run 10 metres long (total is 60m) sprinting and weaving in and out of the cones focusing on agility
What is the One-minute sit-up test
Its a task were your on the ground legs bent knees up and you have to sit up multiple times, raising yourself 90-degree position and then return to the floor. Focuses on muscular endurance
