Q

What is Fartlek traning

A

Fartlek traing requiers you to move your body in different speeds, like, ‘sprinting —> joging —> sprinting’. By doing this your body will grasully get use to the different speeds.

The word itself originated in Sweden, fartlek also means in Swedish ‘speed & play’.

Similarly to interval training it includes periods of work followed by periods of rest or light work. However, sessions include sprints of varying distances not necessarily measured distances as in interval training.

Working the entire body for a long period of time.

What is Interval training

A

Interval training aims to have a,’highintensity & highy-qyality’, training that is done at a fast pace.

The ’work’ period, or interval, may be a distance to run, such as 60m or a timed run such as 20secs. This will be linked to a particular activity using the principle of specificity.
