16
Q

What is extension?

A

straightening movement that increases the angle between body parts

17
Q

What is dorsi flexion?

A

bending or flexing the toes up, closer to the shin

18
Q

What is planta flexion?

A

extending or pointing the toes down, away from the shin

19
Q

What are irregular bones?

A

These bones have odd shapes and vary in function

20
Q

What is abduction?

A

movement that pulls away from the midline of the body

21
Q

What is adduction?

A

movement that pulls towards the midline of the body

22
Q

What is rotation?

A

movement around a single axis or pivot point

23
Q

What is circumduction?

A

moving in a circular or conical shape

24
Q

What is a tendon?

A

Tendons are non elastic fibers that attach muscle to bone and help to move them. Tendons let you apply power and movement. They also grow in strength the more you use them.

25
Q

What is a ligament?

A

Ligaments are elastic fibres that joins bone to bone, usually to hold things together and keep them stable. They keep your skeleton supported whilst allowing movement.
