- realize the figured bass below in four voices, following traditional eighteenth-century voice-leading procedure. continue logically form the spacing of the first chord
- do not add embellishments unless they ask
- supply the roman numeral that appropriately indicates harmonic function
- sometimes they will supply the bass line and other times they will supply the roman numerals, work accordingly
- do bass line first, then melody moving in contrary motion, then fill in the remaining voices
- keep it simple, “boring is beautiful”
