A
- fill out a matrix of all the bass line notes
- fill in the possible pitches
- such as third, fifth, sixth, and octave
- then see what notes that you MUST use
- then cross out all the pitches that would create parallel 5ths and 8ths
- choose pitches that create contrary motion
- then write it on staff paper and see if it works
- always check if there is any part writing errors
