- secondary bacterial infection causes by scratching
- treatment failure
- unclear diagnosis
- babies ad children

OTC treatment for scabies (3 products)
A
- Permethrin Cream (Lyclear)
2+ - Malathion (Derbac-M)
6 months+ - Antihistamines for itching symptom

How to use Lyclear cream
A
Adult application
- 30 to 60g of cream (apply over whole body)
- leave for 8 to 12 hours before washing off
- 7 days after repeat treatment
- treat all close partners at the same time

How to use Derbac-M
A
Adult Application
- 100ml for whole body application
- leave for 24 hours
- after 7 days start next treatment
- treat all close partners at the same time

Scabies advice
A
- avoid close contact with others
- adults and children can return to work or school after first treatment
- itching wont stop straight away
- wash clothes bed linen at 50 degrees or more
