A
- Erythmatous rash on buttocks

What is a Fungal Nappy Rash
A
- Satellite rash
(small red papules on the outer edge of rash) - Rash concentrated in skin folds
(between but and under cheeks)

- Broken skin
- Severe rash
- yellow crust/weeping (requires antibiotic)
- other areas of body affected

OTC treatment for Nappy Rash
A
- barrier creams (protects skin, rehydrates and smooths skin0
(Sudocrem) - Anti-fungal preparations
— Clotrimazole (Canesten)
— Miconazole
(Daktarin)

Advice for Nappy Rash
A
- Change nappies as soon as they are soiled/wet
- Leave nappy off to allow for skin to breath and dry
- Avoided waterproof nappies, they worsen rash
- Wash nappy area thoroughly
