THRIVE
Risk assessment tool used with NDM
-Threat
Could be a threat to person, property or community.
-Harm
Could be to a person physically/psychologically. Could be serious or minor or none.
-Risk
How serious is the risk? Identify the likelihood of harm or vulnerability.
-Investigation/intervention
Is there a crime or road related investigation? What do we know about the offender? What evidence do we have, what stage is the investigation at?
-Vulnerability
Someone is vulnerable when they are unable to take care/protect themselves/others from harm or exploitation due to their circumstances.
-Engagement
Building positive relationships for the benefit of all parties. Should you refer the incident? how immediately is attendance by an officer needed if at all?
Post-Incident
-Update FCR with actions and show self as available.
-Most incidents require paperwork, Athena report, PNB etc.

Get evidence as soon as you can. Careful management of incident maximizes potential for evidence.
