The repeated criminal victimisation of a person, household, place, business, vehicle or other target.
Small proportion of population experience a hugely disproportionate amount of crime due to repeat victimisation.
Near-repeat victimisation
The repeat targeting of targets with similar characteristics or situations.
Poly-Victimisation definition
-Does not distinguish between types of offence. basically can be same or different offences to the same person.
Worse in terms of trauma than repeat victimisation.
Alpha Victims
Term used in modern slavery/human trafficking.
Victims forced or groomed to recruit and exploit others so their own situation improves.
Coercion Define
Act of forcing someone to act in a way they don’t want to by using threats or force.
