Mnfts occur following invasion/metastasis

- Pain/difficulty urinating
- Prostatitis
- Back pain

- DRA (screen)
- Prostate specific antigen (screen and Dx)
- US
- Biopsy

What is the 1st line of Tx for prostrate cancer? What are the other Tx options?
A
Androgens eg estrogen
- These are not curative, but because this is a tumor relying on hormone, if you cut of its hormone supply it will limit the growth and synthesis of DHT
- Radical prostectomy
- Radiation
