Q

what is specifity and give an example?

Q

what is progression and give an example?

Q

what is overload and give an example ?

A

this involves working the body harder than normal
e.g. at the gym you decide to go more often for a longer time and you work at a higher intensity for a week

Q

what is reversibility and give an example?

A

when training stops and the athletes performance drops

e.g. a netball shooter stops practising over the summer holidays and when they come back they keep missing their shots

Q

what is variance and give an example?

A

variance is the idea that if training is repetitive the athlete can become bored and lose motivation meaning they are unlikely to improve.

a striker in football dosent just take shots from the same point instead they do multiple different drills and excercises such as taking shots from a variety of places, practising passing ,shooting under pressure and defending
