o starts as strep throat, if not treated with ABs can cause rheumatic fever
- autoimmune disease.

treatment of rheumatic fever
o penicillin injection for 10 years or until age 21.

o rheumatic heart disease, can then cause sepsis, occlusion or stenosis.
what is tonsillitis
o inflammation of tonsils caused by bacterial or viral infection.
