What are the three types of immunity with description
- Passive Immunity:
provides immediate protection but the body does not develop memory. - Herd Immunity:
(Community immunity) is a mechanism which larger community is protected. If enough people are immune then transmission is reduced or eliminated. - Active immunity:
Is induced in the host itself by antigen and lasts longer (immunization).
What is an autoimmune disease
an abnormal immune response where the antibodies in the body attack its own healthy cells or tissue.
