What are the three types of immunity with description

A
  • Passive Immunity:
    provides immediate protection but the body does not develop memory.
  • Herd Immunity:
    (Community immunity) is a mechanism which larger community is protected. If enough people are immune then transmission is reduced or eliminated.
  • Active immunity:
    Is induced in the host itself by antigen and lasts longer (immunization).
