WHEN SHOULD A SUPERVISOR MAKE AN IMMEDIATE PEAP NOTIFICATION?
- Employee is the victim of a person crime
- Employee has been arrested
- Stressful incident for a PO or the full team
Does dispatch notify the PEAP section immediately on critical incidents such as Officer Involved Shootings (OIS) or when an employee has been transported to a hospital for an on-duty injury?

Supervisor should call or send an email for the following circumstances:
1. Loss of an immediate family member
2. Employee or family diagnosed with serious illness
3. Poor performance due to stressors
4. Employee share person in family has serious illness or dementia.
5. Issues with family affecting work
6. If supervisor believes employee seems to have been affected by an event
7. Problems with marital issues, alcohol, gambleing etc
8. Employee was victim and going court proceddings
9.
Supervisor needs assistance to talk to an employee
Information discussed with participants of the PEAP program will be considered privileged and confidential with the exceptions of:
- The participant is an immediate threat to self or others.
2. The participant admits to the commission of any crime (including illicit drug use).
Employees on Admin Leave may attend briefings and squad training (if allowed by CIRT after an OIS), however, they cannot be in uniform nor in a patrol vehicle, T/F?
