Thick and thin blood films.
What does the anopheles mosquito inject under in the skin in the spread of malaria?
Sporozoites.
Where do sporozoites mature? And what do they become?
Liver - Merozoites.
What parasite is amoebic dysentry cause by?
Entamoeba histolytica. - protozoa.
What does amoebic dystentry cause?
Cysts in stools
Liver abscess
Infections.
What can cause cutaneous (skin) and muco-cutaneous (mucosal ulceration) problems?
Leishmaniasis.
What does visceral leishmaniasis cause?
fever, weight loss and hepato-splenomegaly.
What is Leishmaniasis caused by?
Sandfly bites.

Cestodes - tape worms
Trematodes - Flat worms
