A
  • Poorly understood
  • Weak inhibitor of COX, specifically COX-2
  • = ↓ prostaglandin metabolism
  • Prostaglandins can work on the thermoregulatory region of the hypothalamus and cause fever

  • First line analgesia for acute and chronic pain
