Lymphadenopathy and Metastasis
A
Always be mindful of metastasis when assessing lymph nodes. The enlarged lymph node may contain cancerous cells that have originated elsewhere.

A
Usually reactive.

A
Usually neoplastic.

Usually neoplastic.

Rubbery Lymph Nodes

Usually reactive.

Virchow’s Node
A
A lymph node in the left supraclavicular region.
Drains from the abdomen and can indicate problems there. Could be metastases from the stomach, breasts, lungs, etc.

Pertussis and WBC
A
Can impressively elevate it.

A
Splenic sequestration
