Q

What causes inbreeding depression

A

Inbreeding causes an increase in the frequency of homozygosity and a decrease in frequency of heterozygosity, this means that the previously masked deleterious recessive alleles will now be expressed in the organisms phenotype. This means that the organism will now be less like likely to survive.
