No it shouldn’t be extinguished but the surrounding risks should be protected by lashing off jets and evacuating the area until the gas supply has isolated.

No but the gas authority do. LFB should not gain entry on behalf of the gas authority unless there is an exceptional public safety issue
Can the gas authority request that the LFB remain on site to provide cover for the gas authorities workforce?
Crews should only remain on site for public safety. The gas ask for protection this has to be agree by the DAC and may be chargeable.
Fitting and services should not be used when sending messages regarding utilities. Why is this? And what should be sent instead?
