What are ladder pitch checks?
- The strings closest to the frame of the opening is no more than 150mm from the frame (except if the head is going to be lashed in place against the frame.
- Three to five rounds above the sill (preferably 3)
- the last round above the sill is just above the parallel to the sill.
If the ladder is to be pitched into narrow opening it may be pitched 50mm below or a least 50mm above. True or false

- will make sure there is clearance between the ground and the yellow carrying handles
- will make sure the jack pads are flat on the ground.

1 - visually check that the yellow ladder retaining strap is secure
2 - with open hand push the red ladder securing handle forward (towards the front of the appliance) to make sure it is secure
3 - visually check that the primary and secondary latches have engaged
4 - pull back on the gantry handlebar to ensure that it has engaged
