What would be your reaction if a AFA turns out to be a fire?
Request the full pre-determined attendance (PDA) for the premises.
AFA- if a forced entry is to be made what should be the IC actions?
Contact control and request the full PDA for suspected fire at this address.
Who’s responsibility is it to reset a fire alarm?
The occupier. If there is no occupier competent to reset the alarm present the IC may rest the alarm.
AFA -advice to occupier
If no responsible person is present who should be advised?
AFA - the borough fire safety officer should be advise on return to the station.
If the occupier doesn’t reset the alarm while brigade are in attendance. What should be done?
A fire alarm TAG must be left at the premises.

Who should be requested if unacceptable risk to occupants is identified due to fire safety deficiencies or failures.
And for what reasons?

- the means of escape being restricted or unusable due to storage, obstruction or locking.
- evidence of people sleeping in premises that are not appropriate, such as in storeroom of a shop.
