Training is the process of improving the
employee’s skills and knowledge so they can perform their job to a higher level.
training advantages
creates a sense of loyalty and attachment to the business. demonstrates that the. business wants to advance the careers of their employees.
training disadvantages
expensive investment if business has inefficient systems, non performing equipment. if employees are in the jobs, it won’t act to motivate them.
what is support
Support is where the business offers assistance to employees when they
are finding things difficult either within our outside the business.
support advantages
employees who feel support by their manager and the business are likely to work more diligently. providing support acts as a long term motivator.
support disadvantages
support needs a positive corporate culture at the business. support relies on manager exercising good communication skills.
what is sanction
Sanctions are where the business delivers negative consequences for employees breaching company
policy.
sanction advantages
sanctions can act as a motivator. can stop undesirable behaviours quickly. the idea of getting a pay cut or missing out on a promotion can get people back on track.
sanction disadvantages
Businesses that are constantly sanctioning employees can create
a negative culture where employees are fearful and resentful, making it difficult to motivate
employees in the long term.
