What is malaria caused by?

A

Parasite of plasmodium family.

Transmitted by female anopheles mosquito.

How does malaria spread?

A

Mosquito bites a person
Parasite injected into blood stream.
Parasites multiple in liver and infect red blood cells.
Another mosquito will bite this person and the parasite will go into them and they will contract malaria.
They will then bite another person and give them malaria.
