A

Takes suction from crankcase, discharge to turbo inlet.
Blower control switch in AUTO: start when L.O. pressure reaches 25 psig, can be started in Manual, runs for 5 minutes after SD.
Bypass for crankcase is used to adjust vacuum, directs flow around the blower.
Vacuum oil separator allows removal of entrained oil.

A

On shut down, the engine coasts to a stop then typically rolls back to its final resting position. This small amount of rollback provides several revolutions on the lube oil pump in the reverse direction. Since there is a foot valve in the sump, this section of pipe would be pressurized without this relief present.
