Where do filed input signals go in CDS?
Supplied to both SER unit and to both RDAS computers (DAC/DAN)
What is the function of the SER units in CDS?
SER units determine if signal value exceeds setpoint values and will process an alarm to the annunciator monitors and horn.
What is the function of the RDAS computers in CDS?
RDAS computers provide signal data to the CDS displays which also indicate process values that are in alarm status.
Where are the 52-inch monitors for CDS located?

What functions do SER units fulfill?
Receive field inputs from plant equipment
Monitor inputs for a change in state
When parameters exceed alarm values processes alarm signal to the annunciator servers and to the CDS
What does SER stand for?
Sequence of Events Recorders
What are the power supplies for SER racks?
On the left side of each rack is a 15V power supply which is powered from one of two Pulizzi power controllers
Which racks are powered by SER-1?
115V supply to 15V for Racks 00 and 02
What racks are powered by SER-2?
115V supply to 15V for Racks 01 and 03
What are the LED indications for SER output cards?
LED on - card is functioning normally
LED off - card has detected an error or is offline
Describe SER printers.

What 3 indications occur on an alarm received by the SER from the Utility Area via CCS?
- Audible alarm in RCR
- Overhead Annunciator Panel 4 window activates
- Alarm notification will be received on console CDS for Panel 4
What occurs on a failure of one of the CCS pathways?
Half the alarm box supplied by that system will turn red and not function normally
