A

Rod Access

23
Q

Describe firewater injection upper and bottom manual trip monitors.

A

Meters display 0.8 when EFIS valves are shut.
Meters display 0.0 when manually actuated.
Meters display 1.0 when tripped by PPS actuation.

24
Q

Purpose of RMSS

A

Seal confinement area from the environment.

25
What does RMSS actuation do?
Close primary and backup dampers and secures fans.
26
What is the RMSS setpoint?
45 mr/hr at stack exhaust
27
What is RMSS based on?
3-in break LOCA during pressurized ops.
28
Impact of turning Containment Isol switch to RMS-1?
Shut only primary dampers
29
Pushing the RMS backup damper trip?
Closes only backup dampers
30
Impact of loss of diesel/comm power to RMSS?
Causes inadvertent RMSS.
31
Auto or manual scram on RMSS?
Manual
32
Logic for RMSS?
2/3
33
What is the min million gallon tank level?
227 inches
34
Describe actuation sequence for manual efis?
Inject firewater then open vessel vents.
35
What actuates Primary Pump Shutoff?
2/3 vessel dp at 138.3 psid
36
What is the purpose of primary pump shutoff?
protect core components
37
Where are ESF1 and ESF4 cabinets?
Switchgear room near E-15.
38
What actuates LOCA PCP Shutoff?
Low PPS vessel outlet pressure at 112 psig Low PPS vessel inlet pressure at 343 psig
39
TD associated with LOCA PCP shutoff?
65 second TD for decay heat removal.
40
What does PCP shutoff protect against?
Prevent degrading emergency pump flow due to air entrainment.
