Rubber tappers make a living by taking rubber from wild rubber trees. Since 1960s they protect land from ranchers and settlers. Want government to set aside land reserves for common use by rubber-tapper communities
Settlers
Settlers are formerly landless people who came to the rainforest in 1960s. Claimed small parts of land for farming. protect land from Native Amazonians, ranchers, and rubber tappers that claim it.
