Q

Describe the concept of a classic lobule?

A

A six sided prism with a portal canal at each corner. Blood from the portal canals dump into the sinusoids, then into the central vein, goes deep into the liver and eventually into the sublobular vein, then to the hepatic veins and eventually to the IVC

canaliculi—- bile then travels through the canal of hering—-into intralobular bile ducts and then to right or left hepatic duct

17
Q

Functions of the gallbladder?

A

Concentrates the bile and stores it during fasting

Secretion

18
Q

Exocrine pancreas organized into?

A

Acini

21
Q

Acini cells contain

A

zymogens

22
Q

what the hell are zymogens

A

They are inactive pancreatic enzymes
