Q

Anti-cholinergics do what

A

Basically mimic the SNS. Remember that Ach is the primary neurotransmitter in all autonomic ganglia and also serves as the transmitter between parasympathetic ganglia and their effector cells.

Q

Major Neurotransmitters of the ENS

A
  • Ach: The primary NT and major ganglionic transmitter. (Ach is excitatory for smooth muscle and and glands)
  • Dopamine: a modulatory NT in the ENS
  • Enkephaline
  • Serotonin

Q

Vomitting is controlled by what
