Fundamental Attribution Error – tendency for the ‘observer’ to underestimate the impact of external factors and to overestimate the impact of internal factors (e.g., her illness returned because she wouldn’t attend apts).
Actor-Observer Bias
Actor-Observer Bias – tendency for the ‘actor’ (the person doing the behaviour) to favour external attributions for their own behaviour.

Attributing one’s success to personal factors.
Self-protecting bias
Attributing one’s failures to situational factors.
