Americanism in both cinemas and music.
The growth of jazz and the ragtime in the USA entered British culture and can be viewed as the beginning of Americanism in Britain. The victorian music hall was changed to be a dance hall which were very popular, especially in the working class.

What dances were introduced during the development of the dance halls?

Answer 2

Charleston, swing and jive dances. This evolved into swing and bop during the 30s.
