Universal emotions
Happiness, sadness, surprise, fear, anger, disgust, kinda contempt
Limbic system
mostly in the mid brain and are involved in emotion, motivation, and memory

James-Lange theory
The physiological response occurs right after stimulus and this causes emotional response
Cannon-bard Theory
After stimulus, physiological response and emotion have simultaneously, but separate
Schachter Singer Theory
The physiological response occurs right after stimulus and this causes arousal (cognitive factor) then, emotional response
Experiment: when told given an injection with side effects, they controlled their emotions better than those who did not know
Lazarus Theory
After stimulus, there is a cognitive appraisal, then physiological response and emotion simultaneously
