-ensure a proper warm up and cool down
-make transitions smooth with clear and concise cueing

-work opposing muscle groups
-stretch properly
- be aware of students who have injuries
- wear proper footwear
- correct technique and alignment
-establish the correct movement or pattern before adding speed
-control the number of repetitions performed in one given set
