Q

When you begin a certain ECAM procedure when may interrupt the procedure before it’s complete?

Q

What should be done after completing any memory items?

A

The memory items are just part of the procedure. The entire procedure can be found in the QRH and that’s where you should go in order to find the remaining steps if any.

Q

When should you begin ECAM’s after takeoff?

A

Generally not until the after takeoff checklist is complete. The exceptions being engine related problems. These can be done before the after takeoff checklist if you’re above 400’ AGL, the flight path is controlled, and the PF calls for the ECAM to be completed.

Q

Should you pause an ECAM procedure where you are if the ECAM says to perform another procedure? What if it says to consider another procedure?

A

If an ECAM says to perform a procedure (i.e. XXX PROCEDURE…………..APPLY) you SHOULD pause where you are and apply the procedure from the QRH.

If an ECAM suggests you perform a procedure (i.e. XXX PROCEDURE…………..CONSIDER) you SHOULD NOT pause and perform the procedure. It’s should be done later when you get to the status page.
