Q

EGPWS warnings

A

AP……………………………………..Off
Pitch………………………………….Pull up (full aft stick)
Thrust levers……………………..TOGA

Refer to ABN/EMER PROC - SURV - EGPWS WARNINGS

Note: Every further ABN reading I’ve done suggests to also check that the speed brakes lever is retracted. This is a good idea but in theory going to TOGA should cause the speed brakes to auto-retract. Also be sure to bank as appropriate. For best climb wings level. If it’s apparent you won’t out climb, consider a turn in the closest direction away from terrain.

Q

TCAS warnings

A

AP……………………………..Off
Both FD’s……………………Off
Then respond promptly and smoothly to RA commands

Refer to ABN/EMER PROC - SURV - TCAS WARNINGS

Note: If you get a climbing RA during approach with config 3 or config FULL you should perform a normal go-around and just monitor your vertical speed to ensure it remains out of the red. This is mentioned in the ABN/EMER procedures but isn’t a memory item for whatever reason. Remember that we do NOT have discretion to not comply with the RA.
