When is the Cubital fossa?
The anterior side of the elbow.
What is the superior border of the cubital fossa?
An imaginary line between the two epichondyles of the humerus.
What forms the medial border of the cubital fossa?
The pronator teres.
What forms the lateral border of the cubital fossa?
The brachioradialis.
What forms the floor of the cubital fossa?
The brachialis.
What forms the roof of the cubital fossa?
Skin.
What nerve passes through the Cubital fossa?
The radial nerve and median nerve
What artery passes through the cubital fossa?
The brachial artery
What tendon passes through the cubital fossa?
The biceps tendon.
Why is the cubital fossa clinically important?
It has the Median cubital vein in it, this is the main site for venepuncture.
