Q

How do we feel pain from a headache?

A

If a headache is affecting the intracranial vessels and meninges, or pressure increases in the brain then the trigeminal axons supplying it will send the pain signal leading to a headache. The same happens with extracranial vessels which are innervated by the sensory cervical rami (C2-C4)
