Needs are what we must have to survive.
EG. Food, clothing, shelter.

What are wants?
A
Wants are the extras that may make life more pleasant or comfortable.
EG. Holidays, televisions, designer clothes, jewellery.

What factors affect the variety of people’s needs and wants?
A
- Age (child, teenager, adult, OAP)
- Circumstances (married/single, working/student, unemployed/part-time worker, parent/no children, live alone/with others)
- Values (what is important to us, or priorities)
