Q
List the four views of Conflict Approaches to Sociology
A
- Socialisation is the means by which the ruling class control the working class.
- Through socialisation, the working class learn the beliefs and values of the ruling class – the dominant ideology.
- Dominant Ideology justifies (legitimates) the capitalist system and the powerful position of the ruling class within it, making it seem natural and normal.
- Socialisation therefore benefits the ruling class.
