A
Gait
Arms
Legs
Spine

What is noted under Gait?
A
- gait symmetry, smoothness and turning
- Shoulders, gluts, quadriceps and calves for bulk and symmetry
- alignment of limbs and spine
- are iliac crest levels equal?
- can you exttend elbows and knees fully?
- scoliosed spine? abnormal kiphosis or lordosis?
- arch of the foot, clawing of toes, hallux valgus

What is examined in Arms?
A
- place hands behind head
2. rheumatological hand exam

What is examined in Legs?
A
- assess flexion/extension - feel for crepitus
- internal rotation of hips (knees at 90o)
- patellar tap / medial gutter sweep
- feet: squeeze Metatarsophalyngeal joints

What is examined in Spine?
A
- Lateral flexion of neck
2. Lumbar spine flexion - place fingers on vertebrae
