SCBA with lower pressure is the receiver

both donor and receiver must return to fresh air immediately

if the donors primary low warning device is not sounding, and HUD/Control module are not flashing and there is sufficient air to transfill to a receiver (greater than 2000 psi)

Hose Regulator Emergency

A

do not remove your regulator

if kinked, try and manipulate the hose

if cut consider wheel breathing if losing too much air

place severed hose into your jacket and continue breathing if possible

in the event of regulator failure you will have to use the bypass to breathe

A

shield your airway
stay low
call your mayday
consider transfilling, if possible
exit structure, if possible

A

lay down on your left side
use your right hand to locate handwheel, if closed open all the way

perform all function test

exit structure immediately to determine the cause

Call MAYDAY if required

When to call a MAYDAY

A

if not able to correct the problem within 30 seconds
