Q

Strucutre and surface of cerebellum

A

IT is consited of Two Cerebellar hemishperes separated by VERMIS
has Deep horizontal Fissure separating Superior from inferior
The superior surface have Fissura PRIMA separating anterior from posterior
The inferior surface has Posteriolateral fissure separating Folucclonodular lobe from the posterio lobe

Q

Funcctions of Functional divisions of cerebellum ?

A

1- Archicerebellum = folcculonodular lobe connected to the vestibule for balance and eqiuilibrium
_____________________
2-Palocerebellum =
Vermis +paravermal parts
Vermis for trunks Vis Fastigial Nucleus
Paravermal for Distal limb muscles via Embiliform and Globose .
Spinal connection Cotricospinal tract
Muscle tone -posture -coordinate skilled Voluntary movments
______________________
3-Neocerebellum most lateral part of cerebellar hemishpers having cortico- –ponto- cerebellar connections for planning and programming of movments with motor cortex for contralateral cerebral cortex via DENTATE NUCLEUS
