It is grey matter in embedded in cerebral hemishperes in each one deep to floor of lateral ventricle near its base

Describe caudate neuleus
has head body tail
Head contiunous with the putamen of lentriform nuecleus and bulges into the ant horn of lateral ventricle
Body on the floor of the body of lateral ventrciel
Tail on the roof on inferior horn of lateral ventricle it is contiuuous with the Amygdloid body
